In the early 1990s, this frequent question
prompted the prayers of many Dothan Christians: Where can my
child continue to experience the same Christ-centered nurturing
as they have at preschool and the early childcare ministry of
First Presbyterian Church?
God answered those prayers, and a little over a
decade ago, 13 families with 56 students trusted God’s prompting
to begin the journey in classical, Christian education.
Today, over 670 students attend Providence
Christian School, where principled thinking is promoted as
students develop a Biblical worldview. This is accomplished by
integrating scriptures in all areas of learning, both academic
and co-curricular. By cultivating a love of learning, every
area of a students’ life is impacted by this pursuit of academic
and moral excellence. The goal in this model of education is to
glorify God alone.
Providence Christian School students are
individuals who enjoy being servant leaders in their community
as they impact the world in which they live. The PCS student is
a thinking student, equipped to be transformational in our
culture.
Soli Deo Gloria!
