If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously. - James 1:5

Classical Christian education is based on an approach to learning that emphasizes biblical teachings as the foundation for the pursuit of wisdom, virtue, and excellence. This approach, a teaching model known as the Trivium, consists of the three stages of grammar, logic, and rhetoric, and utilizes time-tested teaching methods that complement the God-designed cognitive development of the students. This understanding of the learner allows the curriculum to present information in a manner that teaches students to think and reason for themselves, developing students who can articulate and defend their ideas and beliefs in a logical and confident manner. From the phonics-based reading program to the study of Latin and through the presentation of a senior thesis, classical Christian education creates the opportunity to build a strong academic foundation, but most importantly, an opportunity to train the mind, heart, and soul.

Classical Christian education is a time-tested method of education.  The University of Notre Dame did a recent study comparing the life outcome of alumni from classical (ACCS), public, secular private, Catholic, evangelical Christian, and religious homeschools.  This research confirms what history has repeatedly demonstrated—classical Christian education can influence the course of a home, a community, or a nation.  To view the study outcome and research, click on the link below.

Yes!  Providence is accredited through the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS).  To learn more about the Association of Classical Christian Schools please visit ACCS website.

At Providence Christian School, students receive the highest quality instruction from our faculty members. Our faculty are leaders in their subject areas, specializing in subjects according to their God-given gifts and interests, ensuring that they teach with excellence and enthusiasm.

At a minimum, all Providence teachers hold a Bachelor’s degree, and over 50% of our teachers have advanced degrees.  In addition, all PCS teachers must have a vibrant faith in Jesus Christ and a heart to minister to children.

PCS teachers continue their training through formal professional development programs, including reading requirements, faculty discussions, and classroom observations.

Providence believes in the "three-legged stool" philosophy of Christian education, believing that the best way to love, nurture, and support a child is through a partnership between the church, family, and school.  It is important that your family is actively committed to a local congregation so that, together, your church, your family, and Providence can partner in helping to raise your child to be all God called them to be.

Providence Christian School does not offer academic or athletic scholarships.  We offer need-based financial aid to families that qualify.  To learn more about our financial aid program, click on the link below.

Providence acknowledges that appearance affects the attitudes of students and the overall educational atmosphere of the campus.  PCS maintains a dress code policy which promotes a neat, modest, ready-to-learn appearance, and helps make students aware of their responsibility to honor God both in the way they present themselves and in their submission to the authorities He has placed over them at home and at school.
