Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. - Colossians 4:6

The final stage of the trivium is the rhetoric stage, where students learn to eloquently and persuasively communicate their ideas, thoughts, and arguments using the tools of knowledge and wisdom gained in the grammar and logic stages.  Classical education helps students develop their minds to think and articulate concepts to others.

The capstone of the rhetoric stage is the senior thesis, which students spend a year writing and then present and defend in front of the school community and a panel of faculty judges.  This process incorporates the skills seniors have learned in all three stages of the trivium.

Our goal is that Providence students will graduate with the character, knowledge, discernment, and communication skills to be effective in college and beyond, but most importantly, to impact their culture for Christ.
