Visual Arts at Providence starts in the early years of grammar school. All students first through sixth will take a weekly art class. Then in seventh grade, students have the opportunity to choose from numerous Fine Arts elective options including visual art. Beginning in first grade, students are taught the fundamentals of art. They are taught to work with a variety of mediums like watercolors, pencils and paints. As they move to the logic and rhetoric stages, they begin to create more complex projects. Our goal is for each child to discover and develop the creative gifts God has given them, not as means of perfection, but in efforts to glorify Him.
